Out of sight, out of mind
Remove the temptation for would be thieves by not allowing them to see what is inside your garage. Never keep your garage door open longer than you need to and block the view from any windows using blinds or frosted glass. Also, keep all your valuable items locked in a box or a cupboard.
If your door won't open all the way up, check the tracks for obstructions
An accumulation of dirt and debris inside your garage door tracks can quickly cause a malfunction, and prevent the rollers from moving. You should check the tracks to make sure there are no pebbles or other obstructions inside them. If you find evidence or rust or dents, or if you discover that your tracks have become misaligned, you need to call our team to have our technicians fix them.
Check the balance of your garage door often
Every month or so it’s a very good idea to check the balance of your garage door. The balance is maintained by the springs, which might need some adjustment or to be replaced, depending on their condition. First, you need to disengage the opener and then open your garage door halfway. The door should be able to stay in place when you let go. If it starts sagging or rising, the springs need to be adjusted. This is a dangerous procedure, so you better have our experts take care of it for you.
